Trapped underneath the ridge situated to our west, the stillness feels like a slow execution. A surface low creeps over the Arklatex in darkness, dragging a doomed boundary across the Gulf Coast states. It crawls toward the Tennessee Valley with non-existent rain, a quiet decay disguised as seasonal norms. No hazardous weather expected at this time. Only the stagnant air of a dying sky. No severe storms for the foreseeable future. Only the suffocating mist in the river valleys. Low to medium probability of precipitation on Wednesday night. Quantitative precipitation values remain completely anemic. Not enough water to wash away the ash of this calm. By Thursday the weak system pulls off to the east, leaving us abandoned to the warmth of next week. THE ATMOSPHERE OFFERS NO ESCAPE! WE ARE SENTENCED TO SEASONAL NORMS! NO STORM WILL COME TO SAVE US! Temperatures are cooling off quite nicely this evening and low dew points are allowing for excellent radiation cooling across Middle Tennessee.
We've got couple of cool nights in store, along with non-existent rain chances the next couple of days.
This evening, high pressure centered over the upper midwest is keeping the air mass over Middle Tennessee dry and a little cooler than seasonal norms, while we remain underneath a northwest flow aloft with ridging situated to our west.
LONG TERM

Our next rain chances start to develop on Wednesday as a surface low comes together over the Arklatex and develops a boundary across the Gulf Coast states and into the Tennessee Valley.
It's not a lot to work with, but we do introduce low to medium PoPs Wednesday and Wednesday night, with rain chances tapering off on Thursday as the system pulls off to the east.
Although there will be some storm chances, QPF values are somewhat anemic, and we certainly aren't outlooked for any severe storms for the foreseeable future.
Temperatures will warm up to seasonal values by Wednesday, with readings staying close to seasonal norms through the weekend, then warming up a bit to start off next week.
